What is PoE Watchdog auto-reboot?
Sometimes an IP camera freezes and stops sending video. Normally someone has to go to the site and switch it off and on. PoE Watchdog does that restart automatically.
How it works
1. The switch keeps checking each camera on its PoE ports.
2. If a camera stops responding, the switch cuts power to that one port for a moment and turns it back on.
3. The camera reboots and starts sending video again. Other cameras keep running normally.
Why it matters
- Fewer site visits — installers do not need to travel just to restart a camera.
- Less missing footage — the camera comes back by itself instead of staying off until someone notices.

What Watchdog cannot fix
A restart fixes a hung camera. It cannot fix a broken cable, a damaged camera or a wrong network setting. If a camera keeps going offline again and again, check the cable and the camera, or call our support on 1800 180 4044.
